The famed couple "Blackie" Charles Chen Chien Chou and "Fan Fan" Christine Fan initiated "Love Life", which took on a tornado style effect from Taiwan across Hong Kong and various places in China. It received societal recognition surrounding the topic of caring and loving children afflicted with cancer. This three-year production of the "Love Life" documentary premiered in China on May 13 (Mother's Day), where Blackie and Fan Fan attended in person.

World Vision sponsor Sammi Cheng (鄭秀文), a renowned Cantonese pop (Cantopop) singer/actress and sponsor for 24 affected children by poverty around the world, was recently invited to host a Chinese child sponsorship TV series show (助養兒童).

Stouffville, ON, March 28, 2012 – More than one million children are expected to suffer from acute malnutrition in the West Africa-Sahel region, according to UNICEF. Lack of rain, rising food prices and conflict-related economic instability has resulted in a potential food crisis in nine Sahel countries. At least 15 million people are estimated to be at risk of food security in the Sahel.

Immediately after the Japan 3/11 Disaster took place last year, Christian Relief, Assistance, Support and Hope CRASH Japan sent in teams to engage in the search and rescue efforts. While a year has gone by, volunteers from all around the world are still in the disaster zone helping the disaster victims with the reconstruction.

Initiated by Chinese Christians and pastors from the San Francisco Bay Area, the Christian Association for Relief and Evangelism (CARE) held a press conference last Friday to report of the last year’s disaster relief and reconstruction efforts in the zone most heavily damaged by the March 11th earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

On 11 March 2011, the most devastating 9-magnitude earthquake in Japan’s history left scenes destruction along the country’s northeast coast. More than 15,000 people were killed, 30,000 were evacuated and around 3,300 people are still unaccounted for. With the nuclear emergency triggered in the Fukushima Prefecture, rehabilitation efforts are further hampered.
