Langley, British Columbia | Tuesday, July 12th – On Wednesday, July 13, golf clubs will be swinging at Redwoods Golf Course to raise funds for Langley’s homeless community. It is all part of the sixth annual Tournament of Hope, made possible through a partnership between the Salvation Army and Envision Financial.
“The Gateway of Hope is so much more than a homeless shelter ‐ the programs that run through the shelter make a real difference in the community of Langley,” says Troy Gaglardi, director of Operations for The Salvation Army. “In 2010, we served over 40,000 meals, distributed over 400 food hampers, assisted over 200 children with school supplies and provided 9,800 bed nights in the emergency shelter. We’re so grateful for community partners like Envision Financial that make this all possible.”
Registration for this full day event starts at 10 a.m., with the scheduled start time of the tournament at 12 p.m. The team registration cost is $800 per foursome or $200 for a single player. All proceeds raised go towards the Gateway of Hope.
