Vancouver, BC March 3, 2011 – Four longstanding vendors found down concession row at Vancouver's Annual PNE Fair, will be serving their classic food fare to clients of The Salvation Army's Harbour Light food line March 7 - to 10th from 11am to noon.
Jack and Katina Hunter from JD Enterprises, Guy ( Guyan ) Sundar from Sanjay's Foods, William Lam of Chinatown and finally, Bill and Mark Konyk of Hunky Bill's, will be treating clients to daily menus featuring everything from, hot dogs, stuff potatoes, pot stickers, vegetarian samosa, butter chicken and basmati rice, sweet and sour chicken, rice and veggies to traditional perogies, various sausages etc.
Mr. William Lam is already an active member of the Canadian Chinese Chef Association, already hosted a Chinese New Year Luncheon at Harbour Light, thought to ask fellow PNE vendors to get involved and needless to say, they all committed without any convincing.
All participating vendors had the desire to on one occasion or another to get involved with The Salvation Army's food line with Guy Sundar sharing, “we had all thought about it as individuals so when William approached us we decided to participate as the PNE crowd.” He adds, “If we all go in on it together the clients can have a better variety.”
