Vancouver, British Columbia | July 19, 2011 — Fashion Hope and Luvngrace Productions are joining forces with The Salvation Army for the July 23 MAZZUCCO Photo / Art Exhibit and fundraiser in working towards building awareness of human sexual trafficking and the fight against it.
Proceeds from the Sascha Mazzucco photo exhibit and silent auction ‐ included is an original painting donated by Raphael Mazzucco as well as original pieces donated by seven top Canadian fashion designers: Leone Fashion, Danier, Malene Grotrian, Lava and Kush, Jacqueline Conoir, and Bun ‐ will go towards supporting this cause.
Specifically speaking to this issue is The Salvation Army's Deborah’s Gate ministry which works in collaboration with existing community resources equipped to provide confidential, professional and culturally sensitive services in law enforcement, immigration, legal counsel, income assistance, counseling services, medical needs, addiction services, and translation services.
“We are excited to support such a solid organization in Vancouver. It is important to us to see local investment in a local, Canadian organization,” commented Fashion Hope CEO, Marc Palmer. “Deborah’s Gate provides not only desperately needed care and services to exploited women, it is also a model of inter‐organizational cooperation that we can all learn from.” Other participating non‐profits include, Compasio International and SexTrade 101.
The Mazzucco Photo & Art Exhibit takes place July 23rd at Sugar Studios, 1635 Powell Street. The $100 ticket includes admission to the exhibit and auction, a glass of champagne and appetizers.
