Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald will be tying the knot on November 1st of this year, and the "19 Kids and Counting" stars are certainly keeping busy as the date gets nearer. So busy, in fact, that Jessa hasn't updated her main social media accounts since October 5th, which has some die-hard fans on edge for news on the wedding plans.
The couple enjoyed an early wedding shower last week that featured chocolate-colored tablecloths, fall flowers, and a photo collage with engagements photos and hand-painted signs.
But it's safe to say that Jessa's father, Jim Bob, is leaving the wedding planning up to the young couple. "I really don't have a vision of how to put a wedding together, it is just an endless amount of details and choices," he said to BreatheCast. "It is overwhelming. But, we are excited for Ben and Jessa and how the Lord has worked in their lives."
Seewald, who works for Jessa's father and attends online college courses, said in a recent interview with Starcasm.net that God is number one in their relationship. "You really have to make sure that you are walking with God, so you can encourage and build up the other person and draw them closer to God. Because you don't want to be dragging them down and discouraging them. You want to be encouraging them and lifting them up."
The couple recently revealed their wedding registry which includes everything from rubber-tipped wooden clothespins to an Arkansas-state-shaped cutting board at Bed, Bath & Beyond. The couple aims to keep the Springdale, Arkansas wedding as simple as they can.
"We have most of our planning done," Seewald recently told People. "When you're planning a wedding, you can make it complicated or make it simple, and we are trying to make ours simple. There are some things that have to be done right before the wedding, but for the most part, we're ready."
Jessa's sister Jill has been in the spotlight lately with her own family-building endeavors. In this week's episode of the hit TV show, Jill and her husband Derick Dillard revealed the gender of their baby while Jessa plans to not only have children of her own with Seewald, but also adopt. "We're both open to children and [are] looking forward to starting a family of our own. We also really want to adopt."
The couple became engaged in August after a year-long courtship. According to their strong Christian values, Jessa and Ben have agreed to save hand-holding for their engagement and will save the first kiss for their wedding day.
