The Fast & Furious 8 is happening on April 14, 2017 as its official release date.
But fans of the Fast & Furious franchise as well as the late Paul Walker, are clamoring to have his brother, Cody Walker, to make another appearance in the upcoming sequel. In the Fast & Furious 7, Cody replaced his brother as Brian O'Connor after his death.
However, Movie News Guide said it would be difficult for Cody to reprise his role as his character already bade goodbye to the "driven life" in Fast & Furious 7.
Those confirmed to be returning for the eight installment of the franchise are Vin Diesel who plays the character of Dominic Toretto, together with other Fast alums, including Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Jason Statham, Deckard Shaw, Lucas Black and Eva Mendes.
Some reports also claimed that Ruby Rose, of the hit series Orange Is The New Black, has passed the audition for a part in the upcoming movie after he was turned down in the Fast & Furious 7 because of his resemblance to the 21-year-old Justin Bieber.
Even Michelle Rodriguez, who plays Leticia "Letty" Ortiz Toretto, hinted in an interview last month that she wishes Angelina Jolie would make an appearance in the movie as one of its heroine.
"That would be sexy," she told Entertainment Tonight "We've definitely got to bring up the ante, man. Whoever it is -- it has to be a powerful presence that hasn't been seen before." And should Mrs. Brad Pete agrees to appear in the Fast & Furious franchise, it would be cool if she will team up with the Toretto team as Rodriguez admits she is tired of fighting with fighting against her female co-star in the franchise.
Deleted Scene Reveals Details on Letty's Recovery
Meanwhile, the Wall Street Journal has shown a deleted scene from Fast & Furious 7 providing fresh details on how Rodriguez's character Letty, cope with her memory loss and struggling between leaving the gang or rejoining them. Letty had a hard time at the beginning of the movie because of her struggle recalling anything from her previous life.
The short footage showed Rodriguez visiting the facility where she spent recovering from her injuries in an accident that supposedly killed her. The familiar place and setting allowed some memories from her pact come flooding in.
It also showed that the late Gisele (Gal Gadot) who actually dragged her injured to the clinic and saved her life. A nurse also assisted Letty find her records in the clinic that provided more information on what happened to her.
The video clip will also bridge some of the gaps in the Fast & Furious 7 plotline that showed Letty appearing in the middle of the film from out of nowhere.
