Orange is The New Black star and Australian actress Ruby Rose may finally have her dream realized and appear in the eighth installment of the hugely-successful movie franchise, Fast and Furious. Here are latest details of the Fast and Furious 8 release date, cast updates, and rumored spoilers.
However, speaking to OK! Magazine, said she could have had a shot with the Fast and Furious 7 but she was turned down because of her resemblance to the 21-year-old Justin Bieber. Apparently, the production staffs of Fast and Furious are not fans of controversial pop singer.
Rose said, "My last audition before Orange was for Fast And Furious 7, but they didn't want me because one of the main guys said I looked like Justin Bieber!" However, Rose has confirmed she is currently in talks with the production team of Fast and Furious 8 and hopefully, she passes the audition this time.
She told the Today Show Australia in a separate interview, "It's so funny because now I'm in talks with that movie and I haven't mentioned to them that I know [they turned me down because I looked like Justin]."
Rose also thanked Orange is The New Black for taking her where she is now. She said she started getting offers for more roles since appearing in the popular TV show.
Diesel Has Big Plans For Fast And Furious
Kurt Russel, who plays the character Mr. Nobody who was introduced in Fast and Furious 7, revealed that Vin Diesel has big plans for the franchise, especially to the Dominic Toretto-led gang.
In a report, Russell said that the ending of his character in the last Fast and Furious installment was intentionally done to make way for Diesel's big plans for him in the next chapter of the movie.
Only recently, Diesel posted a picture of him with Mr. Nobody in his Instagram account. The next Fast and Furious installment will provide more details on the character of the mysterious Mr. Nobody, the report added.
Meanwhile, Australia Network News, reported that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has confirmed negotiating with Universal studios for a possible spinoff of Fast and Furious.
"We all are interested in it. I just had a big conversation with the studio. So we'll see," The Rock said.
"I still think for me personally we've created a little bit of space for him in 7 and the gauge is set for what the audience will want. That's my take on it, you know, but a lot of other people have to have input."
Fast and Furious 8 is scheduled for release on Apr. 14, 2017.
