Jill Duggar of the hit TLC show "19 Kids and Counting" star recently shared a sweet photo of her her growing baby bump while watching the sunset alongside her new husband, Derick Dillard.
The two have been on a missionary trip to El Salvador with several other Duggar family members, and took a moment to enjoy the scenery.
"Headed back to the USA. Praise God for the work He is doing in El Salvador. #babydillysfirstmissiontrip," the father-to-be wrote on Instagram.
The young couple recently celebrated Thanksgiving with their extended family and shared photos from the joyful holiday.
"So many blessings to count this Thanksgiving...Mama Cathy is well, best hubby in the world, expecting a son," Jill captioned on Instagram. "God's mercies are new every morning! #happythanksgiving"
Derick added, "So thankful that the Lord has healed mom and we can have Thanksgiving dinner with her this year! #beyondblessed #family #bestmom."
In August, Jill, 23, announced that she was expecting her first child, just two months after the couple walked down the aisle--which occurred just three months after the duo got engaged.
Although many felt it was too early, Jill says that she and Derick chose to reveal their pregnancy after they prayed about it.
"Most people, the reason why they wouldn't share pregnancy news early, [they] are afraid of miscarriage risks," she said. "We prayed about it, and the film crew asked us if we wanted to wait. But we knew we would share if we did miscarry. We believe that life is precious no matter how young and you would still want to remember that baby."
Since then, Jill has shared pictures of the baby's sonogram (it's a boy!) and registered for their baby shower at Walmart. Some of the items on the list include bibs, diapers, and blankets, and more unusual products like a fitness ball, orange Gatorade, and gift cards to Olive Garden and Subway.
2014 has undoubtedly been a busy year for the young couple--but they wouldn't trade it for anything.
"It does definitely [feel like a whirlwind], but it's so exciting and it's just been an awesome experience," Derick told People magazine.
Matriarch Michelle Duggar also recently took to the family's blog to express her excitement regarding her growing family.
"Now that it's actually happening, there are all of these wonderful mixed emotions," she said of her children getting married and having children of their own.
"You get the joy of watching a loving relationship unfold."
