The Duggar family of the hit TLC show '19 Kids and Counting' recently shared what they are most thankful for this past Thanksgiving in a series of heartfelt social media updates.
Jill Duggar, who is expecting a baby boy this coming March with her husband, Derick Dillard, showed off her bump while celebrating the holiday.
"So many blessings to count this Thanksgiving," the 23-year-old captioned an Instagram photo. "...best hubby in the world, expecting a son, God's mercies are new every morning! #happythanksgiving."
The 19 Kids and Counting also shared how grateful she is for her growing family on Nov. 20. "A week before Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for our baby boy!" she captioned a sonogram photo of her son. "Awesome to think his heart has already beat about 26,784,000 times! Psalm 139:13-18."
Derick posted the same picture on his Instagram and captioned it, "So thankful that the Lord has healed mom and we can have Thanksgiving dinner with her this year! #beyondblessed #family #bestmom," he wrote.
In an earlier interview with People Magazine, Jill discussed the joy she feels regarding motherhood.
"I am keeping his ultrasound pictures safe-it is so exciting to look at this picture," she said. "He is moving and kicking now, and it's crazy to realize I have this wonderful baby boy inside me."
The couple has already established a routine, which includes singing "Jesus Loves Me" each night to the baby and writing in a journal so they can share the entries with their son.
Meanwhile, the rest of the Duggar clan didn't let media criticism deter them from sharing their faith, thanking God for numerous blessings on their official site.
The list, titled "19 Blessings and Counting," expresses gratitude for the perfect attributes of God, including His mercy, faithfulness, and the gift of salvation through His son, Jesus.
"We are thankful that we can know for sure that we are going to Heaven when we die by asking for Jesus's forgiveness, turning over the control of our life to Jesus, and asking Him to take us to Heaven when we die," the family writes.
The family, who recently came under fire for their Biblical views regarding homosexuality and abortion, said they are thankful for each other and the "close fellowship and encouragement" of fellow believers.
Finally, the Duggars concluded their list by expressing gratitude for the sacrifice made by members of our military and thankfulness for the opportunity to live in America, a country that remains "a beacon of hope to everyone in the world" despite its imperfections.
