"Mortal Kombat Pack 2" will be released in the first half of 2016 and will sport smashing new characters.
Speculations are swirling around March 2016 as the release for "Mortal Kombat X" Kombat Pack 2 DLC. And it may come out dragging Smoke, Spawn, Baraka, Havik, Drahmin, Bo Rai Cho, Fujin, and Wolverine in a line. This rumor is backed up by Play Station Universe.
However, there will be four new DLC characters who will be rolled out with "Kombat Pack 2." The catch is, Nether Realms Studios is keeping these new ones under wraps.
The other news is that the gaming outfit may release small bits and parts of the DLC instead of unloading the whole thing in one big release. Why not if the first DLC was released in this way?
The first pack of "Mortal Kombat X" included Predator, Jason Voorhees, Tanya, and Tremor.
Meanwhile, the Latin Post reports that there is something that can be confirmed beyond mere speculation. There will be new character skins as certain updates to the game. Mortal Kombat's creator Ed Boon confirmed this matter via Twitter:
"@Nordic_Fenrir When will newer characters like Takeda and D'vorah getting new costumes? @noobde @NetherRealm EB: They're comin'...
- Ed Boon (@noobde) November 5, 2015
The report also says that fans have likewise specifically asked for new outfits for Sonya, Erron Black, Jacqui Briggs and Cassie Cage. PC players of Mortal Kombat X have already created new skins for in-game modifications.
For example, Goro and Noob Saibot were altered by PC players to sport their costumes from the 90s: white shin guards, red belt and yin yang design up front for Goro while Noob Saibot looks like his old self in Mortal Kombat II. To do this, the report mentions that players have used Sub
Zero but changed the color to black.
The report further mentions that the new skins are the gaming firm's way of keeping Mortal Kombat X players content and quietly waiting while Nether Realms Studios works on the downloadable content for Kombat Pack 2.
Meanwhile, Game Zone mentions at least seven characters fans would prefer seeing in the final cut. At the top of the list is Spawn, who for the longest time, has been hailed as the most requested character.
Spawn's real name is Al Simmons. His flagship weapon is the double sided axe with a name going for it - "Agony." The most interesting part is that creator Todd Macfarlane mentioned in February this year that Warner Bros could use this character whenever they want.
