'19 Kids And Counting' New Star: Drama Welcomes Jessa Duggar Seewald’s Newborn Baby

Baby Seewald has finally come, and it was not without fanfare and heart-stopping drama, as befitting a member of a reality TV show clan.

19 Kids and Counting star Jessa Duggar Seewald and her husband Ben welcomed their first baby via a C-section delivery as Jessa was rushed to the hospital due to bleeding, Realty Today reports.

As was expected from her huge bump, Jessa's baby boy weighed a whopping 9lbs and 11 oz. and is 21 inches long, People reports. However, after the baby got safely out, Jessa suffered a case of excessive bleeding, compelling her mother Michelle Duggar to phone 911.

Michelle requested that an ambulance is sent to the house right away to fetch Jessa and have her checked out. The recording revealed that the Duggar matriarch had Jessa's tummy massage so that the uterus would harden and stop the bleeding.

It can be recalled that home births are a tradition in the Duggar household. In fact, Jessa's sister, Jill Dillard, is a certified midwife. Like Jessa, Jill also planned a homebirth, but after a 70-hour-labor attempting a home delivery, Jill was rushed to the hospital and gave birth to a baby boy via an emergency Caesarian section. Fans had been previously expecting Jill to fly back from South America to deliver her own sister's baby. However, this did not pan out as expected.

Nevertheless, the whole family is buoyantly rejoicing the arrival of the baby boy, whose name is yet to be revealed.  The Dillards posted exuberant messages via Instagram: "Congrats to Jessa and Ben on the birth of their baby boy!" @ben_seewald @jessaseewald y'all are great parents already! May you raise this little guy in the love and admonition of our Lord. #congrats #newparents #newnephew #prouduncle," wrote Derrick Dillard.

The birth and rearing of the new baby will have a special highlight in Jill and Jessa's new series Counting on.

Meanwhile according to The Vine Report, not all in the Duggar household are as happy as Jessa and Ben currently are with their lives. Anna, the wife of the disgraced eldest Duggar son, Josh, was said to have turned down an offer of a new house from her father-in-law, Jim Bob Duggar, in exchange for staying with her husband.

The Duggar patriarch reportedly offered Anna a 3,800 square foot valued at USD 345,000 with four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Nevertheless, Anna is reportedly not that interested and is more concerned with "real healing" rather than fixing up the Duggars' disgraced image.
