The 21-year-old pop singer Justin Bieber has been promoting his upcoming single What Do You Mean with the aim of making it the most talked about song this summer. He has been campaigning about the new song on Twitter.
And to make sure that he succeeds with his mission, the Bieber has teamed up with veteran Hollywood actor John Leguizamo his What Do You Mean. The two were spotted filming the video late Tuesday night all the way to the early morning of Wednesday in East Hollywood, California, complete with artificial rain, reported the Daily Mail.
The video was shot in the not so glamorous part of Hollywood with a real life motel, The Harvard House, as backdrop that proudly advertises adult movies and other sleazy activities.
The video has all the elements of a drug deal with Justin and John appear to be engaging in some dubious deal in the middle of rain. Justin can be seen pulling his shirt up after the deal with Leguizamo.
His on-screen love interest wearing a racy leather bralette and shredded pants while carrying a Moschino backpack and rolled a Luis Vuitton carryon bag with her, could also be seen joining Bieber in the video.
Bieber has been trying to ramp up public interest for his What Do You Mean single. For months, he has recruited his celebrity friends, from Kylie Jenner to Alanis Morissette have contributed to his effort of a countdown on social media.
On Wednesday, Bieber tweeted out lyrics to his new song in a cryptic riddle, line by line, Hollywood Life said.
Justin's tweet something mysterious. He wrote, "check ur dms and the time on the clock ;) put it together. #whatdoyoumean" His friends also posted cryptic images of clocks with random phrases written below it.
The video of Beiber's new single What Do You Mean seems far off from the new image the 21-year-old pop singer is trying to project publicly. Bieber insisted that he has turned his life around because of his newfound faith as a Christian.
In a recent interview the Canadian popstar revealed on his "21 Things You Didn't Know About ..." list that No Longer Slaves from Jonathan and Melissa Helser of Bethel Music is among the top three songs on his iPod.
Included in the lyrics to the prayerful song are the lines "From my mothers womb/ You have chosen me/ Love has called my name/ I've been born again, into your family/ Your blood flows through my veins/ I'm no longer a slave to fear/ I am a child of God."
In July, the singer took to Instagram to share a screenshot of his iPod playing the song This is Living, another popular Christian song by Hillsong feauring LeCrae.
"This reminds me how amazing life is supposed to be..if you are discouraged listen ot this song it will bring you supernatural pace, at least it did for me! #stepoutonfaith" he captioned the photo.
