The Duggar family of "19 Kids and Counting" fame are asking fans to pray for Josh Duggar's pregnant wife Anna, as she is days past her due date of July 10.
On Sunday, the Duggar family posted a photo of Anna standing beside her sister-in-law Jessa (Duggar) Seewald, who is also pregnant.
"Well, sweet Anna is now past her due date! First time she has ever gone "late" instead of early!" the family captioned the photo, which was posted on their official Facebook page. "Here she is with our Jessa. Be praying for these girls. Pretty soon we will get to kiss the sweet face of another Duggar grandbaby!!!"
Anna and Josh, both 27, announced they were expecting their fourth child, a girl, back in December. Their new addition, who was due on Friday, will join siblings Mackynzie Renée, Michael James, and Marcus Anthony.
Josh and Anna have previously made it clear that they hope to follow Jim Bob and Michelle's example and have as many children as God would allow.
"We're really just going to take it one at a time," said Josh. "I don't think you can say we're going to set out and say we're going to have five kids or four or three. We have no control over that. God has the control."
The couple, who married in 2008, relocated from Washington, D.C. to Tontitown, Arkansas earlier this year to be with Josh's family. The young pair decided to move after Josh resigned from his position as a director with Family Research Council Action amid controversy surrounding the revelation he had molested five girls when he was 14 years old.
In the wake of the scandal, TLC pulled all episodes of the show off the air and several major advertisers cut ties with the reality show, including General Mills, Payless ShoeSource, Choice Hotels, and Walgreens.
Although acknowledging Josh "violated God's principles" the Duggar family has stood by his side throughout the past several months.
Josh's younger sisters Jill, 24, and Jessa, 22, came forward as two of five victims shortly after the scandal broke, but emphasized they have forgiven him for his actions.
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar also extended forgiveness to their son, telling Fox News contributor Megyn Kelly that they are confident God will use the scandal for good.
"This isn't something we wanted to come out, but if people can see that ...God can forgive him for these terrible things, then we hope other people realize that God can forgive them and make them a new creature" Jim Bob told Kelly in an interview. He added, "Our son violated God's principles in doing improper touching, that was terrible. But I think, what Josh did was inexcusable, but it wasn't unforgivable."
In May, Anna also expressed support for her "changed" husband, whom she said had previously confessed his sins to her before they were married.
"I can imagine the shock many of you are going through reading this. I remember feeling that same shock," she said in a statement.
"When my family and I first visited the Duggar home, Josh shared his past teenage mistakes. I was surprised at his openness and humility. ... When Josh asked me to marry him ... I was able to say, 'Yes' knowing who Josh really is - someone who had gone down a wrong path and had humbled himself before God and those whom he had offended."
