More than 900 students who were former nonbelievers have reportedly committed themselves to Christ after hearing Sadie Robertson of "Duck Dynasty" and Christian rapper Lecrae onstage on Saturday.
Robertson, Lecrae, fellow musicians Kristian Stanfill and Building 429, as well as author Tony Nolan led the RUSH Ministries' event in Meansville, Georgia with about 7,000 attendees.
"Over 925 souls made decisions for Christ," RUSH Ministries said on its Facebook page. "Amazing day--Thank you Jesus!"
RUSH, which means "Reaching Unchurched Students for Him," encourages students and young pastors to reach out to other youth, adults, as well as their friends and family members and help them get closer to God.
Robertson, who is popular for being a reality television star on the A&E show "Duck Dynasty," expressed her excitement hours before the show.
"So awesome being at RUSH Ministries in GA tonight!!" she said on her Facebook page. "What an awesome crowd coming out to worship on a Saturday night!!"
RUSH Ministries founder Marc Pritchett told the Christian Post that the nonprofit organization had already touched the lives of about 10,000 people through its programs in the past 11 years.
"The nature of [the] event, whether it be concerts, celebrities, games or other things that we do, are all aimed at getting those kids in the community, or in the world if you will, not in the church necessarily, but to get the church friends to bring the students that may never walk into a church," Pritchett told the news website.
"[The youth] realize not only is being a Christian fun, not only is it cool, but also, eternal hope is sandwiched within all that stuff," he added. "I think that's probably the reason why we see so many kids come to Christ other than at a Christian festival--we reach to them first, then we present the Gospel."
The renowned pastor expressed his gratitude to the event volunteers a day before the ministry.
"I was beyond blown away tonight as I watched countless volunteers work so hard to prepare for RUSH2015," he said in a Facebook post. "People from all walks of life, young and old giving of their time... for what? Why would anyone take off work, spend time away from family and lose precious sleep? It's all about that ONE moment. That ONE moment when the Gospel is preached and the Word goes forth and ONE sinner repents."
Last year's ministry was held at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia, featuring Hillsong United, Jesus Culture and Colton Dixon.
