Destiny's upcoming House of Wolves DLC will be the second downloadable content pack to come out since the game launched last September, and reports of the upcoming release are already coming in of what we can expect with the sci-fi game's newest features.
The main story of House of Wolves consists of three missions: Pact of Wolves, Tracking Quarry, and Path of the Traitor.
Pact of Wolves is said to take place in the Cosmodrome on Earth while the other two are set on Venus' Ishtar Sink. These story missions will continue with the Awoken Queen and the revenge she seeks for The Fallen's destruction of her kind. She will enlist the Guardians to help take out the formidable enemy.
In addition, there will also be a new strike called Belly of the Beast that takes place on the Moon's Ocean of Storms, a new Raid called The Arena - The Reef, Crucible maps Black Shield, The Timekeeper, Thieves' Den, and Widow's Court, and the new level-28 Strike playlist called Vanguard Dragon.
These will also intro three new locations: Dusk Warren and Traitor's Ketch, both on the Moon, and The Terminus on Venus.
A new social hub may also debut, according to leaked screenshots. This social area would be located in The Reef and would allow players to interact and shop without the threat of violence.
Enterprising players have also discovered a "glitched" way to access one of the new areas of House of Wolves by jumping between world scenery. The exact spot takes them to a region called Dusk Warren that is expected to open officially when the DLC launches.
In Bungie's latest developer blog from March 19, the topic is audio, but one line sticks out: "During the weeks to come, we'll be talking about the next update for Destiny. Before the House of Wolves is revealed, we're investing some more loving care into the game you're playing now." So it seems that we at least have several weeks to wait for House of Wolves.
In the meantime, we get word of the upcoming Patch 1.1.2 and its biggest priorities including increased vault space, fixes for the Atheon and Crota raids, tweak options for audio and visuals, a change to the way PvP ammo crates work and affect the flow of battle, and why some missions are more popular than others and why people quit.
The House of Wolves DLC pack was originally scheduled to be released this month, but Bungie is now saying "between April 1 and June 30" as the launch date. One Reddit user named Megamanexe4 says that the release date will be May 19,2015, but that hasn't been confirmed.
