Country star Carrie Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, are experiencing parenthood for the first time following the birth of their son, Isaiah, and aren't shy about sharing their excitement on social media.
The "Something In the Water" singer, who welcomed her son on February 27th, shared a cute baby update through the Twitter account created for her dogs, Ace and Penny, using their "voices" to reveal how they are responding to Isaiah's presence.
"We're not sure about this new thing in our house. Mom calls it our 'little brother.' It's noisy, but makes Mom smile so it can't be all bad!" read the tweet.
Underwood also uses her own Instagram and Twitter accounts to update fans on how life has changed since the birth of her son. Right after Isaiah was born, the country star shared a sweet photo of her son's hands, captioning the image, "Tiny hands and tiny feet...God has blessed us with an amazing gift! Isaiah Michael Fisher - born on February 27. Welcome to the world, sweet angel!"
Then, on her birthday, which is on March 10, the "Jesus Take the Wheel" singer shared her favorite present with fans via a humorous tweet.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! My 1st present = late night date with a tiny semi-bald chubby dude who likes to grunt & cry & pass gas! #bestgiftever," she wrote.
Underwood's husband, National Hockey League (NHL) player Mike Fisher also expressed his love for his wife and son via Twitter.
"Happy Birthday to the early favorite for mom of the year," he wrote. A short time earlier, he tweeted, "Thanks for all the prayers and wishes over the past week! Having a child is the best thing in the world!"
Prior to his son's birth, Fisher said he was looking forward to fatherhood and "being the best dad" he could be.
"She is having a good pregnancy," the Nashville Predators player told The Tennessean at the time. "Everything has been going great so we're blessed that way and praying that everything will go well for the next little bit."
He added, "It's something we're really looking forward to. I'm just thinking about wanting to be the best dad I can be."
In the meantime, Underwood says that while the pregnancy process is "beautiful," she's excited to once again get back in shape--and has even launched a new fitness line in collaboration with Dick's Sporting Goods called CALIA.
"Just knowing that the whole process itself is really beautiful ... Even when I feel pretty large, it really is such a miracle and such a beautiful thing," the country icon told PEOPLE last month.
"[But] "I'm looking forward to reclaiming my body," she admitted. "I've been saying it's been on loan for the past many months ... I'm excited to take it back."
