The top reality show Dancing with the Stars will return on ABC on March 16th. So far, there is no confirmation on who the cast shall be, but rumors are still persisting from Russell Wilson to Chris Soules. In addition to the cast rumors, there will also be a lot of changes made to the show to make it even more spectacular.
The full cast for Dancing with the Stars 2015 will probably be announced sometime in late February or early March, but there is a huge twist as it is rumored that Russell Wilson could be on the show. Yes, the Seattle Seahawks quarterback who will go up against the New England Patriots on Super Bowl Sunday 2015 could be putting on dancing shoes for Season 20 of the popular reality show, provided he wins the Super Bowl.
This is according to Enstarz who showed this big proclamation back in October, as seen on Dancing with the Stars professional dancer Karina Smirnoff's Instagram page: "So....calling out @dangerusswilson "if I win this year's #SuperBowl, I'll do next season of @dancingabc #DWTS" ~R.Wilson. Ok-Should we hold him to it?!?!" Smirnoff captioned in a photo of the two of them.
If Wilson does compete, he will join the ranks of other NFL players that have been fan favorites on the show, including Emmitt Smith, Hines Ward, and Donald Driver.
Other cast-mates that could be joining up in Season 20 could be teen heartthrob Ross Lynch as well as Chris Soules, star of the current season of The Bachelor. Of course, nothing is confirmed, but casting rumors are sure to heat up in February.
We have already discussed other things besides the cast that will happen in Season 20 of Dancing with the Stars. The show's executive producer Rob Wade told The Wrap that he wants Season 20 to be "a celebration, but we're still going to be innovating. It's still going to be fresher than ever. I want to build on what we've done this season. I want to build on the performances. I want more fun, more humor."
The International Business Times stated some things will occur on Season 20, the show's tenth anniversary. First, Disney night will be making a comeback, even though it was absent for the last season. DWTS also wants to bring back Latin night, which was also a big favorite, and it will be brought back as well. New to the floor could be a "Classical Night", which will bring some classical themes to the episodes.
Some changes will be made, as it is stated that Derek Hough will not be returning to Season 20 of Dancing with the Stars. Hough took an offer from Radio City Music Hall as the male lead in "New York Spring Spectacular", but he is scheduled to return in Season 21.
Right now, the stars of Dancing with the Stars (the dancers, and some of the celebrities) are involved in a tour known as DWTS Live, which will conclude on February 15th. Joining the dancers is the winner for Season 19, Alfonso Ribeiro. Dancing with the Stars Season 20 will return on Monday, March 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
