Even though Season 19 of Dancing with the Stars has ended, people are already talking about Season 20, to be aired next spring. Already rumors about the cast and the show's format have been circulating, and it has led viewers to wonder who will be hitting the dance floor later this year when Dancing with the Stars returns.
The show's executive producer Rob Wade told The Wrap that he wants Season 20 to be "a celebration, but we're still going to be innovating. It's still going to be fresher than ever. I want to build on what we've done this season. I want to build on the performances. I want more fun, more humor."
The International Business Times stated some things will occur on Season 20, the show's tenth anniversary. First, Disney night will be making a comeback, even though it was absent for the last season. DWTS also wants to bring back Latin night, which was also a big favorite, and it will be brought back as well. New to the floor could be a "Classical Night", which will bring some classical themes to the episodes.
As for any rumors of the cast, there have been rumors that Season 20 "may bring back friendly faces to the ballroom dance floor". I am not certain if that means an all-star version, but there has been much speculating as far as who will be cutting a rug in 2015.
According to the Inquistir, Chris Soules, current star of The Bachelor, could be putting on his dancing shoes. A recent interview asked him if he would be willing to go from one reality show to the other, and he had a very "why not" attitude about it. If this is true, he would not be the first to move from The Bachelor to DWTS.
Another possible entry to the dance floor is Ross Lynch, the current star of the Disney Channel's Austin and Ally, according to EnStars. Lynch is the cousin of Julianne Hough, who is a judge of the show. If Lynch were to come on the show, a certain judge could be accused of a little nepotism.
The cast has yet to be announced, but fans of DWTS will be pleased to know that Len Goodman will not be taking any hiatus for this season. The reason for his absence in most recent seasons was due to him having to leave for the U.K. version of the show, but Goodman does not have to do that this year.
Right now, the stars of Dancing with the Stars (the dancers, and not the celebrities) are involved in a tour known as DWTS Live, which will conclude on February 15th. Joining the dancers is the winner for Season 19, Alfonso Ribeiro. Dancing with the Stars Season 20 will return on Monday, March 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
