'Duck Dynasty’s Willie Robertson Talks Sadie’s 'Dancing With the Stars,' Isn't Worried that Family Values Will Deteriorate

"Duck Dynasty" star Willie Robertson discussed the impact that his daughter Sadie Robertson's involvement with "Dancing With the Stars" (DWTS) might have on the Robertson family in a recent interview with Fox & Friends.

Sadie Robertson joined Season 19 of "Dancing With the Stars" at the young age of 17. The Christian youth's outfits are approved by her father, and her professional dance partner Mark Ballas insists that though some of her routines might be a little sassy at times, his goal is to make Sadie's experience on the show appropriate and comfortable.

When Sadie first asked for her father's permission to dance on the show this year, Willie gave his consent much to her delight - "She started dancing right there, dancing all around the house," he says. Although he can't help but be nervous about Sadie going off to Hollywood as her parent, Willie appreciates that her dance partner is Mark Ballas, who danced with conservative Christian actress and author Candace Cameron Bure last season. Ballas has been spending some time down in West Monroe rehearsing with Sadie, and the duo has performed three routines together thus far. "We're trying to get him [to eat] some frog legs and some squirrel for his energy," Willie jokes.

Despite the immense fame that "Duck Dynasty" has brought to the Robertson family, their faith in the Lord and their strong desire to keep the family values intact have prevailed. When asked whether he is worried about losing the "small town, family feel" that the Robertsons have after getting more acquainted with Hollywood, Willie's response was quite confident. "No, I'm not - I think that's in you, you know - where you come from - and we haven't lost it yet," he said.
