Batman: Arkham Knight is coming to the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC on June 2, 2015.
According to Arkham Knight's publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, the game will come in three editions - Standard, Limited, and Batmobile. The Standard Edition has a retail value of about $59.99.
Both Limited and Batmobile editions will come exclusively to the PS4 and Xbox One in North America.
The Limited Edition comes with an 80-page art book, Batman: Arkham Knight comic book, and a Batman statue. Players will also get 52 new character skins. With an estimated retail value of $99.99, this edition comes packaged in a Steelbook case.
Buyers opting for the Batmobile Editions will get virtually the same things as those found in the Limited Edition. The only exception is the original statue, which has been replaced by a Batmobile statue instead. Due to this difference, the edition will sell at a more expensive price of $199.99.
Developed by Rocksteady Studios, Batman: Arkham Knight is the final entry in the Arkham franchise. The previous games included Batman: Arkham Asylum (2009), Batman: Arkham City (2011), and Batman: Arkham Origins (2013).
Rocksteady also confirmed that Batman: Arkham Knight is exclusive to next-gen hardware. In other words, the game will not be available for the older Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
Where to Pre-Order
Consumers can pre-order the game online at Best Buy, Amazon, and Gamestop. As a bonus, early buyers will get a playable Harley Quinn character as well as four challenge maps.
Gamestop is the only seller offering every version of Arkham Knight right now. That means the Limited Edition and Batmobile Edition is available, for both PS4 and Xbox One consoles. The store also has the PS4, Xbox One, and PC Standard Edition as well.
Amazon offers the standard edition for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC version of the game. The online store is also offering the Limited Edition, but not the Batmobile Edition.
Best Buy is selling the Standard Edition for the PC, Xbox One, and PS4 only. Unlike Amazon, the Limited and Batmobile Editions are not available. Members of Best Buy's Gamers Club will get 20 percent discount for the game.
