UPDATE: Motorola Launches New Moto X, Moto G and Moto 360 Smartwatch
Motorola teased the Moto X+1, Moto G2, and Moto 360 in the latest advertisement promoting an upcoming private press conference on Sept. 4 in the Chicago area. A Motorola employee announced that there will be a public live-stream broadcast introducing new products on Friday, Sept. 5 at 1:30 PM CST. This has also been confirmed by an official Motorola posting over on Twitter. For the readers' convenience, the streaming video link has been embedded at the end of this article.
The tech giant has launched a flash animation of a paper fortune-teller that shows a headset, two smartphones, and a smartwatch drawing. It is not clear if the headset drawing represents a device that Motorola will actually unveil. This ad was apparently part of an invitation sent to select members of the press.
Both smartphone drawings have the letters X and G inscribed. Based on this reference, many tech gossipers believe that Motorola is featuring the Moto G2 and Moto X+1 at the upcoming conference. These mobile devices may be the long-rumor successors to the current model Moto G and Moto X smartphones.

There is still no official word concerning the specs for both devices. It has been rumored that the Moto G2 will run on the quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB RAM. The device may sport a 720p resolution screen that is 5-inches diagonally. For internal storage, the Moto G2 may have upwards to 8 GB of space. The wireless device may include an 8 megapixel camera in the rear.
In contrast, the Moto X+1 may feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 2 GB RAM. The Moto X+1's screen is capable of pulling 1080p resolution, with a screen size between 5.1-inch or 5.2-inch. Additionally, the device has a relatively large 12 megapixel rear-facing camera.
Perhaps the more anticipated of the hinted devices is the Moto 360 smartwatch. Last month, Italian-site Mister Gadget released twenty-six images of the Moto 360. One image shows the heartbeat sensor. Another image shows the Motorola device side-by-side with the LG G smartwatch. Both devices are roughly similar in size, but different in shape.

Mister Gadget also reported that the Moto 360 is made of stainless steel with interchangeable watch bands. Upon release, the device will come in either black or silver. Apparently, the Moto 360 is dust and water resistant with IP67 certification. Regarding internals, the Moto 360 may have wireless charging capabilities.
Although the Moto 360 was featured at Google I/O, Motorola has not announced an exact release schedule for the watch. However, this information may be available at the upcoming IFA 2014 tradeshow that will be held in Berlin, Germany in a few days.
