Nokia's Lumia 730 and Lumia 830 may be present at this year's IFA 2014. Microsoft, which owns Nokia, has scheduled an invite-only event for Sept. 4 -- just one day before IFA begins. However, the software giant has not revealed what will be featured at this event.
Even so, the latest tech gossip suggests that both the Lumia 730 and Lumia 830 may be featured at the conference. This information was first revealed in a recent report by GSM Arena, which claims that an official IFA poster is evidence that Nokia is revealing two new phones.
The online news site also released official government documents confirming that the Nokia Lumia 730 has just passed FCC testing. The papers show that Lumia 730 has a dimension of 134.7 x 68.5 cm. The device may have a 4.7" size screen with 720 resolution.
Also, the FFC documents reveal that the Lumia 730 has 2G, 3G, and 4G LTE connectivity. The Lumia 730 will also be powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core processor with a memory of 1 GB RAM. Regarding photography features, the phone may have rear 6.5 megapixel camera, and a 5 mega-pixel front camera self-photos.
Rumors also suggest the Lumia 730 will have 8 GB of internal storage as well as a 1 GB RAM. Though it has not been confirmed, the device may come with the new Snapdragon 400 chipset. Consumers may expect the device to sell for around $240 upon release.
In contrast, there is not as much detail about the Lumia 830. For now, the most current information suggests that the device will feature a 13 megapixel PureView rear camera. Even so, both Nokia phones may run on the newest Windows Phone 8.1 software.
At this time, Microsoft has not confirmed the exact release date for either of the Lumia 730 or Lumia 830. Still, it is very likely both of these devices will start reaching the consumer immediately after IFA 2014. Naturally, this will depend on whether the phones actually make it to the conference.
IFA 2014 is scheduled to be held in Berlin, Germany from Sept. 5 thru 10.
