A leaked photo shows Daryl from 'The Walking Dead' (TWD) tied-up and gagged in what appears to be a scene from Season Five.
The image in question was first unveiled by Entertainment Weekly (EW) on Monday, raising concern amongst fans that the crossbow-wielding character will indeed be killed off in the upcoming season.
Just three weeks prior, TWD writer/executive producer Robert Kirkman seemingly confirmed Daryl's death in an interview with EW Radio.
"In our premiere episode of season 5 we're going to give a ton of answers of who the people of Terminus are, what they're doing, why they're doing it, what's going on with them," Kirkman said. "Oh, and Daryl dies."
For the time being, it is not clear whether Kirkman is teasing Daryl fans or telling the truth. Kirkman also happens to be the writer/creator for 'The Walking Dead' comics that inspired the show.
Season Four's finale ended with a number of the protagonists locked up in a railroad car at the Terminus. Many in the fan community speculate that the captors are cannibals, and that the heroes will face imminent danger in the next season.
AMC's original hit-series 'The Walking Dead' is scheduled to return in October 2014. Last Sunday, the cable network released a clip from the first episode of 'The Walking Dead' Season Five.
