Apparently those duck calls work on more than just waterfowl, because Switchfoot has heard the call and is heading to Germain Arena in Fort Myers, Florida to meet up with the Robertson family from Duck Dynasty fame. On May 18 they all plan to get together for a live performance benefiting the Salvation Army of Southwest Florida.
The event titled, "The Call: Faith, Family & Facial Hair," will feature Willie, Korie, Jase, Missy, their three children, and Uncle Si from Duck Dynasty. Switchfoot will headline the music, and additional live musical performances will include country band The Farm, and The Salvation Army's own contemporary artists transMission. During the event, attendees at "The Call" will receive a free duck call and take part in setting a new Guinness World Record for the largest duck call.
According to organizers, tickets are currently on sale starting at $39 and can be purchased at the Germain box office or through www.ticketmaster.com. Also, Additional partnership plans are available and include a special VIP reception with the Robertson family, and different ticket packages to the performance.
"The Call: Faith, Family & Facial Hair" is The Salvation Army of Southwest Florida's largest fundraiser and proceeds from the event will benefit local programs operated by The Salvation Army in line with the organization's mission to provide services to people experiencing hunger and homelessness, without discrimination, while continuously leading and assisting clients as they strive towards the goals of attaining affordable housing, stable employment while simultaneously fostering a sense of greater self-determination. Fundraisers promise that Ninety cents of every dollar raised is used to sustain the life-changing programs that bring hope to hurting souls.
