Nicholas Vujicic, a man born without arms and legs, celebrated his first Father’s Day with his wife Kanae, whom he married in February of 2012. The man with passionate faith in the Lord does speaking engagements around the world, encouraging people to receive Jesus Christ as their Savior.
Vujicic was born with Phocomelia, a disease that can confine people to a wheelchair. The Australian evangelist, known for his encouraging spirit and sense of humor, is far from confined, however; he participates in sky diving, swimming, surfing, and has played a variety of sports in spite of his birth defects. Most importantly, Nick has used his unique testimony of perseverance and faith to engage thousands of people for Christ. Says Nick on his website, “If God can use a man without arms and legs to be His hands and feet, then He will certainly use any willing heart!”
Nick had doubts that he would ever marry - “I’m Prince Charming with a couple of bits and pieces missing,” he joked in an old interview. Yet God did not disappoint - Nick is now happily married to his wife, Kanae, and had his first child – a healthy baby boy - earlier this year.
The Vujicic’s marriage and family is a testimony of God’s faithfulness and love. Kanae has happily assumed the role of caregiver, something that Nick has needed help with all of his life – “He’s a perfect match for me,” she said.
Nick is thankful that the Lord has fulfilled his desires to be a husband and a father; he said of his wife, “She’s the greatest dream that has ever come true for me.”
