Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney said Friday, March 12, he may ask the state supreme court to postpone the start of gay marriages in May as the state legislature has given preliminary approval to a constitutional amendment that would ban same-sex marriages but allow civil unions. Before, Romney refused to make further comments about his plan in the case when homosexual couples take action on May 17 to hold marriage ceremony.
Romney said: “We’re not going to be in a setting where people take the laws into their own hands, whether that’s mayors, governors, legislatures or the like. We follow the rule of law as it’s established.”
