FEBC Chinese ministry prepares to receive the new year with prayers for the new evangelism strategies of 2006.
On the latest bulletin for the Prayer Warriors of the Far East Broadcasting Company (FEBC) Chinese Ministry, special prayer requests are posted for a few new development plans to be launched in the first quarter of 2006.
FEBC is going to begin the new year with a series of broadcasting training class held at the California headquarters on Jan. 2-6. Some ministers from Seattle are going to attend the training. FEBC wishes that some leaders can be nurtured through the training to help churches opening broadcasting ministries.
FEBC highlights an upcoming dispatchment meeting for the evangelism project "Portable Missionaries" on Jan. 21 at San Diego. FEBC urges for prayers that the prepration can be completed under God's guidance. More importantly, it hopes the project can be used as a tool to bring the Gospel to all Chinese Christians who are hungry and thirst for righteousness.
According to FEBC, the project "Portable Missionaries" (PM) was first initiated by some staff members from FEBC Philippines in early 1950s. They designed and constructed transistor radios and distributed the simple machines to people in remote areas. The "box that can talk" brought them the Good News in their native language.
Over the years, PM radios continue to be an effective means of sharing the gospel with people who live in restricted access countries or those unable to attend a local church, said FEBC. It also has tremendous impact among Chinese Christians in Mainland China.
From March 2006, FEBC is going to launch a reform for all the Chinese Gospel Programs. First of all, it aims to strengthen the cooperation between the five FEBC recording studios. In order to fulfill the needs of the Chinese Christian audience from increasingly diverse backgrounds, FEBC will produce more different kinds of programs, including those for beginners as well as those for discipleship training.
FEBC requests for prayers for program directors and developers that they can recieve wisdom, spiritual vision and courage from above, guiding the audience to advance on their path of searching for truth.
In addition, the bulletin reveals the plan to introduce a series of Bible counselling class in early March. With a total of 24 classes, it is expected to have great impact on the audience in Mainland China. Currently, the preparation work including invitation of suitable lectures, course contents and making lecture notes for students are underway.
The online Gospel broadcasting for Chinese Christians of FEBC liangyou.net has been renewed with more programs since October 2005. FEBC prays for the continued support and the change of many lives.
