It’s a crucial part of lives of Christians to worship and praise the Lord. A music ministry is recording worship songs to reach out to people who don’t have the access to get to a recording studio.
Since the first two projects in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in 1997, Operation Mobilization partner "Heart Sounds International” has been continuing with worship recording projects in many other different countries such as Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, India, Mongolia, Central and South America, Bulgaria, and many parts of Africa, including Sudan.
Soon video became a focus of some of the Heart Sounds International projects. Along with setting up recording studios in various places, video studios were begun in North Africa and India.
Heart Sounds' Frank Fortunato recruits volunteers of recording engineers to take mobile studios in and pave the way for future ministry. Because of the rapid digital technology development, creating a mobile studio only requires a few luggage filled with music equipments such monitor speakers, amplifier, audio mixer, synthesizer, computer (MIDI) interface, etc.
He said, "We're working in a lot of the restricted nations, and we go to a lot of places where it's difficult for the believers to either get to a recording studio, or it's dangerous for them to identify themselves as believers recording their worship songs, or they can't afford it.
"In many of the places where we have gone, where we find that there are musicians who are capable of handling digital equipment, we will often bring in a complete recording studio and leave it behind for them to use for ongoing projects."
