Washington D.C. -- Christian Coalition of America is in action to end left-wing criticism of an American military hero, Army Lieutenant General William G. Boykin.
General Boykin has been known to the evangelical Christian audience as the one who saw the war against terrorism as a battle between good and evil and he thinks the terrorists represent Satan. Most Americans agree on this part.
Christian Coalition agrees with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Richard Myers, when he said that General Boykin -- a highly decorated commander and 13-year veteran of the Army's top secret Delta Force -- "broke no rules speaking at churches".
Roberta Combs, President of the Christian Coalition of America said, "Liberals in this country need to stop their Christian-bashing. Their attacks on American heroes, such as General Boykin, are very much like their attacks in Congress on President Bush's highly-qualified judicial nominees. Their attacks on highly successful Hispanics, such as Miguel Estrada, forced him to withdraw his nomination to a seat on a federal court of appeals. These same left-wingers are now going after highly successful African Americans, such as President Bush's nominee, Janice Rogers Brown, a highly qualified California Supreme Court Justice who was reelected by almost 80% of California voters. Prejudice against evangelical Christians must end. General Boykin has Constitutional first amendment rights including speaking out about religious matters in the public square.”
