Expect the final season of Longmire would end on a high note. While many viewers want to know if Vic and Sheriff Walt's affair will end up in a marriage, there reports that a major character will die in Netflix's modern Western crime drama series. Now, here's the latest round-up of update about Netflix's Longmire Season 6 spoilers, release date, and rumors.
The 10-episode Season 6, which might become available on September 2017, will dwell on the lives and relationships of key characters. In a sneak peak, shared by director Adam Bluming, it shows a shadow of a man pointing a gun to an unidentified character. After seeing the image, many fans speculate a major character is in serious trouble and might die next season.
One of the fan theories claims Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) will face his impending death next season. This theory seems plausible since Henry was badly injured at the end of the fifth season.

Interestingly, Lou Diamond Phillips is set to direct an episode of Season 6. On Twitter, he confirmed that he'd direct the second episode of the final season. It is not yet confirmed if he will also direct himself. Perhaps, his character will die in order for him to focus on director duties.
The pilot episode of Season 6 is titled "The Eagle and the Osprey." Based on that title, it looks the first episode would be an homage to the World War II book with a similar title written by David G. Weaver.
Meanwhile, Barry Sloane returns in the upcoming season as Zachary. Director Bluming has not yet revealed the role of the 36-year-old star. Some say he is going to help Henry, Vic and Sheriff Walt in the final showdown of Season 6.
Season 6 is the last season of Longmire after being on air for more than four years. Executive producers and Netflix assure fans that the show's final season would be a satisfying ending for characters like Vic and Sheriff Walt. The Season 6 premieres in New Zealand, Canada, and U.S in the last quarter of 2017. Insiders claim it would become available on Netflix in September 2017.
