Kevin Durant led the Golden State Warriors in a win over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 3 of the 2017 NBA Finals. With the 3-0 lead in the series, the Warriors are just one win away from capturing the 2017 NBA Championship trophy.

Durant drilled a monumental three-point shot in the final minute of the fourth quarter, putting the Warriors on top, 114-113. After the game-winning shot, Lebron James and the Cavaliers weren't able to retake the lead from the Warriors. The final score of the game was 118-113.

Durant and his fellow Christian Stephen Curry are leading the Warriors team in this year's NBA Playoffs. As a proof of their excellent teamwork, the Warriors are the first team in NBA history that has 15-0 record in the postseason.

Durant and Curry are both open about their Christian faith. In an interview with BeyondUltimate.com, Durant said: "the Bible both pumps me up and balances me to play my best." For Curry, he is also a devout Christian and is vocal in social media about his faith in God.

The fact that these two best players in the NBA share a strong faith in Jesus Christ makes them even stronger.

Durant signed a two-year contract with the Warriors last year. Many doubted his decision because his role in the team is very uncertain. However, he ignored criticisms and gave his best performance for the team. In this postseason, he averages 27.2 points, which is the best per game average among active players in the NBA.

In his 10-year NBA career, Durant proved that he one of the best basketball players on the planet. He has four NBA scoring titles, an NBA Most Valuable Player Award, two Olympic gold medals, and the 2008 NBA Rookie of the Year Award.

Despite his great achievements in the league, Durant remains humble to his fans and co-players. "The Bible says the Lord exalts humility, and that's one thing I try to be all the time. When people tell me I'm great, I remind myself that I can always be better. Humility comes before honor," he said in an interview.

He also explained how he is very thankful to the Lord for the gifts that he has. Durant was baptized at Hillsong Church in New York City in 2013. As a testament to his faith, the 6′ 9″ Warriors forward has a baller band on his left wrist that writes "ibelieve" and a tattoo that says "Live for Eternity."
