Square Enix's Business Division 1 has recently posted a recruitment letter on the company's official website. The letter says the company needs a tremendous amount of time to finish the remake, but more manpower will shorten it.
The company is looking for FF7 Remake Battle planner, FF7 Remake graphics designer, and FF7 graphics programmer. For those who are interested in these job positions, applicants should be willing to work in Japan.
Furthermore, the development team wants to surpass the original Final Fantasy 7 in terms of graphics quality and gameplay.
Producer Yoshinori Kitase and game director Tetsuya Nomura have both expressed their strong desire to release Final Fantasy VII remake in its best form. They also want to relive that feeling that players experienced after finishing the Final Fantasy 20 years ago.
Interestingly, this year is the 20th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII and the 30th anniversary of the franchise. With these occasions, many gamers speculate the remake would become available this year, but it might not happen. The remake is still in development phase, and developers need more time to finish the game.
The Final Fantasy will be released in multiple parts. Producer Kitase previously said each installment would be told from a different perspective. There's no word yet if each part will be a full-priced, or will have digital episode format similar to Telltale.

In terms of battle system, FF7 Remake will have the same gameplay similar to Kingdom Hearts or Devil May Cry. The turn-based system that captivated players back in 2017 will no longer be used. It will be replaced by a more action-packed battle system. Combats will happen in real-time in the remake.
