The Undertaker spotted in medical facility in New York
The Undertaker might have wrestled his last match at WrestleMania 33. He was defeated by Roman Reigns and "The Deadman" symbolically left his hat, gloves and coat in the middle of the ring. Many people believed that it was a sign that The Undertaker has retired.
One of the rumored reasons why The Undertaker decided to finally hang up his boots is an injured hip. He underwent surgery late last year in order to perform at the Royal Rumble at WrestleMania 33. There were rumors noting that he might need a full hip replacement surgery that will effectively end his wrestling career.
According to Jamie Gordon of The Sun, The Undertaker was spotted with wife Michelle McCool entering the David H. Koch Pavilion Hospital in New York City. It is believed that the 52-year-old wrestling legend will undergo surgery and relieve him from the pain for all the years of taking wresting bumps.
The New York hospital was ranked as the best in the United States regarding orthopedics and second in rheumatology. If The Undertaker indeed is undergoing surgery, he is in the best hands and he will surely make a full recovery.
Potential names for this year's Black Friday releases
It's that time of the year again for the WWE. The month of May is where most releases are made and pink slips are served to superstars. It is also called Black Friday and a lot of currently employed superstars are wishing they won't get fired.
According to Sportskeeda, the WWE might be releasing several superstars from the cruiserweight division after a lackluster showing since its re-introduction late last year. Other superstars who could be on the chopping block include Eva Marie, Darren Young, Summer Rae, Tyson Kidd, James Ellsworth and Paige.
Eva Marie is surely going to get released since she's moving on to Hollywood while Tyson Kidd is still recovering from neck surgery. He might get released as a performer but he could be made an ambassador for the company.
On the other hand, Young is a great representative for the WWE in terms of the LGBT community so he might not be going anywhere. Summer Rae has been injured for the last several months but the women's division in both brands lack depth.
As for Ellsworth, he has become annoying and the company seems to have no plans for him. Finally, Paige is surely on the chopping block but there is a movie about her family getting released soon so she's not getting fired until after its premiere.
However, it should be noted that these are just rumors and nothing has been confirmed. The WWE releases a lot of talents around this time but they usually cut those who do not fit into their plans. Most releases might come from developmental.
Is Vince McMahon finally slowing down?
The 71-year-old WWE chairman has been involved with his company for more than 40 decades and he might finally be slowing down. Vince McMahon was reportedly absent in last Sunday's Payback pay-per-view in San Jose, as well as on Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live this week.
According to Cageside Seats, McMahon is trying to travel less nowadays and it might be a sign that he's ready to take a backseat. He also reportedly did not want to travel cross country. The billionaire chairman has done everything to make the WWE the biggest wrestling company in the world and he really deserves some rest.
