The contract drama between the Miami Heat and Chris Bosh might be getting its closure soon as the postseason gets even more interesting. Looking to get another Kevin Garnet in their midst, the Minnesota Timberwolves are expected to sign a Chris Bosh contract soon. Will this finally land them a spot in the NBA playoffs by next season?
The Chris Bosh contract dilemma has been plaguing the Miami Heat with the All-Star sitting out the entire 2016-17 NBA season due to health reasons. It looks like Pat Riley is adamant in not risking anything for the former Big 3 teammate of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. However, Chris Bosh still has money owed to him by the Hassan Whiteside team. With this in mind, it looks like only an NBA trade could save both parties.
"I understand what they have to do as a team. It is a business. I know we as athletes and owners and people involved with the NBA never want to say that it's a business and things like that. It is a business. And hurt does come in with that. But, as president of the Miami Heat, I understand what he has to do," said Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat and Pat Riley.
He added, "At heart, I'm still an athlete, and that is not how I want it to end. ... I do [miss playing.] But a part of me doesn't. I've come to enjoy different aspects of life. There's a lot of life out there. I mean [that] only because as basketball players - that's really it. But I've enjoyed spending time with my kids. I've enjoyed spending time with my wife and just kind of relaxing and working on my mind and my soul."
Rumors are rife that the Minnesota Timberwolves aim to find a new veteran inspiration to bring a winning culture to the locker room filled with talented young stars. At the moment, the Ricky Rubio team stands as one of the most promising groups in the league. With the likes of Karl-Anthony Towns, Zach LaVine and Kris Dunn in their roster, the squad has been hailed as the next super team. What are they missing then?
A strong veteran presence in the locker room is predicted as the missing link for the promising Minnesota Timberwolves. Fans believe that signing a star who can equip Karl-Anthony Towns, Zach LaVine and Kris Dunn with a winning mentality could be the game changer for the young team. At this point though, a Chris Bosh contract remains at the speculation stage.
What do you think? Should the Minnesota Timberwolves sign a Chris Bosh contract? Will this help young stars Karl-Anthony Towns, Zach LaVine and Kris Dunn?
