The Golden State Warriors are still not done making waves in the NBA as they make sure that their heartbreaking loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Finals will not happen again. As LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love attempt to solve their back court issues, the super team of Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson are said to be busy looking for another superstar to add to their roster.
The Jrue Holiday free agency campaign is set to heat up soon with the New Orleans Pelicans star reportedly looking at offers from the Houston Rockets, New York Knicks and Miami Heat. However, some reports point to the Golden State Warriors checking out the possibility of adding the Jrue Holiday contract in their lineup this season.
Rumors are rife that the DeMarcus Cousins trade affected Jrue Holiday most. Fans of the New Orleans Pelicans noted that the 26-year-old star appears to be struggling in the hardwood court as he finds a balance in playing alongside Anthony Davis and the former Sacramento Kings star. Will a Jrue Holiday trade be the best option for all the parties concerned?
"We've got to find a way to get him going offensively/ I think he's looking to be a pass-first point guard, and we just need him to be aggressive. I think when we get him going, we'll be fine," said Anthony Davis of the issues concerning Jrue Holiday this NBA season. He further shared, "We just need him to be aggressive. We just need him to be Jrue."
For his part, Jrue Holiday admitted that he has been struggling to meet the expectations. He shared that the changes brought by the DeMarcus Cousins trade had him facing difficulties.
"[I'm] obviously trying to figure it out. Again, they're so dominant down there, you can't not throw it to them, especially when you have Boog [Cousins] down there. There might be times of that, but there's times when I have wide-open shots and just overthink it," shared Jrue Holiday of his current situation with the New Orleans Pelicans.
At the moment, the Jrue Holiday contract talks have yet to be commented on by the parties concerned. Fans of the New Orleans Pelicans star feel that he could be better off in another team. As a young star on his way to become an elite player in the league, many believe that he could benefit from playing alongside Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson in the Golden State Warriors.
