The Chicago Bulls are attempting to save what was supposed to be their comeback season - the one expected to redeem Jimmy Butler since the Derrick Rose trade to the New York Knicks. However, it looks like the addition of Dwyane Wade and Rajon Rondo to the Nikola Mirotic team did minimal good to their success. Should they bring in another All-Star in the form of a Carmelo Anthony trade to go back to their Michael Jordan glory days?
The New York Knicks have been in hot water with the NBA All-Star since the start of the season. Despite the highly anticipated Derrick Rose trade and Joakim Noah contract, it looks like the team remains at the bottom of the league. The issues worsened when Phil Jackson's comments reportedly targeted Carmelo Anthony. Fans also noted that the New York Knicks seem to be moving on from the Team USA star to focus more on young player Kristaps Porzingis.
While the NBA trade deadline passed without a Carmelo Anthony trade happening, experts believe that it is high-time to just let go of the All-Star. Among the rumored landing spots for the 32-year-old are the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics. However, speculations point to the Chicago Bulls as a better fit especially since Dwyane Wade is already there. It could be recalled that four NBA superstars, including LeBron James and Chris Paul, shared their dream of playing in one team earlier this year.
"And you say 'oh he's a better fit.' Carmelo Anthony is stuck in the worst fit of his career with the lowdown skunk that is the New York Knicks run by Phil Jackson right now, and Phil's trying to run Carmelo out of town," said Skip Bayless of the All-Star's situation. The sports columnist added, "And he is a shadow of what he used to be, and it's because of his emotions and his psyche right now. He doesn't want to play basketball. He's lost all heart and all hope in New York City."
What do you think? Will the Chicago Bulls be the perfect destionation for a Carmelo Anthony trade? Could fans of the Jimmy Butler team expect to see LeBron James and Chris Paul donning the Rajon Rondo team jersey along with Dwyane Wade?
