The Houston Rockets are getting back their groove following the Dwight Howard drama that allegedly threw off the game of James Harden in the past season. With The Beard now focused on winning and is once again in the running for MVP this year, fans of the Ryan Anderson squad are eager to see how the team will sustain this momentum. Given the status of the team and its budget, talks point to a Nerlens Noel trade soon.
The Philadelphia 76ers have been stuck with a difficult situation since last season. With the recovery of Joel Embiid, the idea of having Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel in the lineup as well seemed impractical for the team. Although the Ben Simmons team has yet to announce any change, the significant cut down of Nerlens Noel's minutes led to talks that a trade is due soon. Initially, fans believed that a Jahlil Okafor trade would be happening soon. However, it looks like a new NBA trade deal would be in place soon instead.
The exit of Dwight Howard, who is now with the Atlanta Hawks alongside Kyle Korver, has created a hole in the center post of the Houston Rockets. Despite the drama with James Harden, the former Los Angeles Lakers star has been a great presence in the roster. With this in mind, fans believe that a new center should be shipped in to take his place and it looks like a Nerlens Noel trade would be in order.
"I just want to play basketball," shared Nerlens Noel of the situation with the Philadelphia 76ers via CSN Philly.
He added, "I don't really care who I'm playing with. I'm not an eight-minute player so I don't know what that's about. I don't really care. I need to be on the court playing basketball. I think I'm too good to be playing eight minutes. Like, no, that's crazy. That's crazy. That's crazy. They need to figure this s--- out."
While the parties involved in the NBA trade rumor have yet to comment on the matter, the fans of the Houston Rockets believe that a Nerlens Noel contract would be great for the team. Under the leadership of an improving James Harden, the young center might just be the star the Ryan Anderson team needs to finally be on top of the Western Conference.
What do you think? Will the Houston Rockets be a good place for a Nerlens Noel trade? Will the Philadelphia 76ers star be better off with James Harden and Ryan Anderson?
