Since its release last July, "Pokemon Go" has been releasing some updates to its game, but the biggest update is coming just in time for the holidays. What can we expect from the update which will be announced by December 12?
Right now, "Pokemon Go" includes all the pocket monsters from "Pokemon Red" and "Pokemon Blue". But with the recent additions of Gen 2 Pokemon, which were introduced after the mentioned Blue and Red games, players can expect new characters plus some updates to the familiar ones.
Tech Mic reports on some of the expected updates plus some tips on how to prepare for the next "Pokemon Go" update. They reported that for the biggest update yet, old pocket monsters will be getting new evolutions. The site suggests stocking up on candy as it is still unknown how many candies it would take for the Pokemons to evolve. A good tip would be to not level up using the candies first, but instead using them to fill up your Pokedex with the evolved monsters and when you're done, that's when you level up. Here are the Pokemon that will see evolution in the update: Eevee (Espeon/Umbreon), Gloom (Bellossom), Golbat (Crobat), Scyther (Scizor), Seadra (Kingdra),Slowpoke (Slowking), Onix (Steelix), Poliwhirl (Politoed), and Chansey (Blissey).
Aside from the evolution, there are reports that baby forms of some Pokemons will also be seen. A tip is to get rid of all your present eggs so that you can hatch the baby Pokemons. Expect baby forms of Pokemons such as Magmar, Pikachu, Smoochum, Clefairy, and Electabuzz, so make sure you have your egg incubators ready when you go to PokeStops.
Forbes speculates around 100 new Pokemon might be added in the biggest update for "Pokemon Go" yet. But aside from that, there may be something for the holidays too, such as Pikachu donned in a Santa hat and some customization geared for Christmas.
