In about a month, fans can see the much-awaited "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" in theaters, but to alleviate the excitement, Empire Magazine has released teaser photos for the movie.
The first teaser image shows Riz Ahmed's character, Bodhi Rook trying to make a deal with some odd-looking characters. In the looks of it, Bodhi is not in the good side.
Ahmed told Empire that Bodhi is just a regular guy in the movie. He's quite a simple man so his choices are pretty straightforward.
"An everyman who finds himself thrust into the middle of historic events. He's someone who is disconcerted by what they're up against. It makes his decisions and choices much braver," said Ahmed.
The second photo shows Jiang Wen's character, Baze Malbus and Donnie Yen's character, Chirrut Imwe. The two rebels seemed to be in a dire situation. These two are like Bonnie and Clyde. They have very different perspectives in life, but they are very loyal to each other.
Yen said he is very grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the film. Though Yen has been in multiple Hong Kong-based martial arts movies, he was astounded by "Rogue One's" scale.
"I have never been on sets with so much resource. Oh my goodness," said Yen.
As for Chirrut, he is quite bold and self-assured.
"Everything is as the Force wills it," he said.
With all of the news and teasers popping out from everywhere, fans could not wait to see the movie. The new trailer previews old content from the other trailers released before, but there are a couple of flashes of new clips. There was even a funny moment featuring K-2SO.
The film stars Felicity Jones and Jyn Erso. This is the first stand-alone film in the franchise and it will hit the theaters on Dec. 16. As early as Monday 12:01 a.m., tickets in the U.S. are going to go on sale.
"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" will also feature the infamous Darth Vader. However, director Gareth Edwards said fans will be seeing a different side of the villain.
"You end up very respectful of him: Even though you know there's a guy inside the outfit, you still talk to him like he's Vader."
