Hollywood stars Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello has celebrated their first year anniversary. It was not too long ago when Vergara was guesting on the "Ellen Show" as she told her love story to the world.
The adorable couple took to Instagram to share their celebration to the world. Vergara and former "True Blood" star Manganiello posted photos of their wedding last year.
In one of Vergara's photos, she said that Manganiello is the "love of my life." In another picture, Vergara showed the fans why they are the perfect couple with a photo of the party's dance routine (with Vergara captured doing a seemingly chicken-style dance).
Vergara, one of the top paid actresses in TV, has been in a relationship before. However, Joe Manganiello already had a long-time crush on Vergara.
Speaking with News.com.au, Manganiello said he was set on his mission to "get" Vergara the moment he knew she was single.
"I've had a crush on Sofia for years," he reveals. "Actually, all my friends knew about it to the point where just before she was to announce she was going to be single again [after she broke up with then-fiance Nick Loeb] my friend, the editor of People magazine told me before he was to release a public statement to the masses.
"So he sent it to me first to warn me that there's going to be a line of guys going after her. He wrote to me, 'I want you to get there first. Go get her!'"
The 38-year-old actor said he did not waste time. He got her number and immediately invited her out to date.
It was a quick yes for Vergara. The two fell in love and Manganiello, again not wasting time, decided to propose to Vergara. In fashion.
Manganiello thought that if he would propose to a Columbian woman, it should be done in Spanish. Though he studied Spanish in high school, his skills had deteriorated.
The actor practiced his big speech, because according to him, "the last thing you want to do is mess up that moment."
"I wanted to make sure it was perfect. It had to be absolutely right," said Manganiello.
Manganiello said he was caught by Vergara's big heart to people. Though they live "crazy" lives, with both of them working in Hollywood, at the end of the day, they are just normal people.
Vergara and Manganiello married in Palm Beach last Nov. 22, 2015.
