We're just one day away from Thanksgiving Day, and for Christians, this holiday is more than just a day filled with good food, fellowship, and football - is a time to reflect and be thankful for all that God has given us. While there is nothing wrong with enjoying Thanksgiving traditions, it's important to remember to take a moment and cultivate a heart of thanksgiving. And, though Thanksgiving is a one-day event, the Bible talks about the importance of giving thanks in every season - "... stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD, and likewise at evening ... 1 Chron 23:30."
The Gospel Herald has compiled a list of twelve Thanksgiving Bible verses to help you do just that. This Thanksgiving, whether you use these verses for your holiday cards, in your morning deovtions, or in your eveninng prayers - remember to "give thanks to the Lord - for He is good!"
