The ‘Teen Wolf’ season 6 cast has spoken up about the last season of the horror drama at the EW PopFest in Los Angeles, sharing their experiences when the show just began airing up to the time that the final episodes were filmed.
The cast members also dropped several hints about the sixth season, with which 20 episodes will comprise the new installment that will hit the small screen starting November 15.
Actor Tyler Posey, who plays Scott McCall, recalled how difficult it was to finally say goodbye to the series, which he had considered as his second home.
"I would stay for hours after work. I spend more time with these people, 17 hours a day, six months out of the year, for seven years...I'm really gonna miss having that second home," he shared.
Aside from playing the lead role, the 25-year-old actor has directed one of the upcoming episodes.
When asked about the episode the cast members are most excited about, they agreed on episode 13, which they have recently been filmed.
“Tyler Posey is directing an episode,” actor Khylin Rhambo, who plays Mason Hewitt, said. “You guys are gonna love it.”
“I second that!” added Shelley Hennig, who takes on the character of Malia Tate.
Posey thanked his fellow cast members and shared, “I really love acting… but I really have a passion for this directing thing.”
The spotlight will be on Scott and his best pal Stiles Stilinski, played by Dylan O’Brien, for this new season. Following the abduction of Stiles, Scott prepares to rescue his friend and is expected to seek help from other pals, including Malia and Lydia, among others.
While fans can remember that Scott triumphed over the Dread Doctors as well as the Beast, a Nazi Alpha werewolf did escape the laboratory and Scott’s pack will have to deal with this one before the series ends.
The supernatural concerns grow with the Ghost Riders arriving at Beacon Hills as the new group of villains.
“The Ghost Riders are like very capable henchmen,” Posey commented.
‘Teen Wolf’ season 6 rumors have also suggested that there will be a new class at the local school that aims to teach students about ancient Egypt. This was speculated after a certain behind-the-scenes photo was shared this week, showing hieroglyphs written on a blackboard.
Moreover, there have been talks that a new teacher is arriving at the Beacon Hills High School. Actress Sibongile Mlambo, who was born in Zimbabwe, has reportedly signed on to the show to play the new humanities teacher and guidance counselor, Tamora Monroe.
The ‘Teen Wolf’ season 6 premiere date has been set on Nov. 15; the official teaser trailer can be viewed below.
