Apple Watch Nike+ is now available in stores. With $369 price tag, this sports-focused watch comes with exciting features for active users. Now, here's the latest round-up of update on Apple Watch Nike+ release date, specs and features.
In comparison to other fitness-based watches, Apple Watch Nike+ has the ability to track the wearers' movements in almost all kinds of sports, such as biking, swimming, yoga and rowing. It also features a built-in GPS to map users' distance without carrying their smartphone, which is very hassle for some.
Furthermore, the new Nike+ from Apple can work extensively under water, addressing a weak spot of many sportswatches that are merely water resistant and can't endure a rigorous swimming activity.
TechCrunch reported motivation is at the heart of the Apple Watch Nike+. From activity reminders to the band design, it is like a handy professional trainer that encourages wearers to do more. When the wearers look down, there it is, a constant reminder to work hard and push limits.
On the other hand, unlike the auto-triggering feature in other activity trackers, users have to start the run tracking on the Nike watch. It also asks users to specify certain details like whether they running outdoors or indoors, so it knows if it will use GPS or just count to measure the distance.
Design-wise, the watch is remarkable for its minimal design around a steel gray aluminum case. It also features clean graphics and less complicated settings. The watch's band is a rubbery silicone with small holes that have lattice-like design.
In an interview with Bloomberg, Stefan Olander, head of Nike's Digital Sport division, said they want to remove every distraction in the sportswatch and keep it clean and elegant for easy use. He also added that they designed a watch that really motivates its users to run.
Apple Watch Nike+ is the fourth iteration in Apple Watch Series 2. It follows the Standard Apple Watch and Hermès Editions that were became available earlier this year. The new sports-oriented Apple Watch is available in four color combinations including white or black rubber bands and gray aluminum cases. Grab it know on Nike and Apple Stores. It is also available online.
