November is another exciting month for Xbox Live Gold Members as they will be receiving four free games-two for the Xbox One and another two for the Xbox 360-in line with the Games for Gold program. The backwards compatibility feature of the Xbox One will be utilized for the games previously available only on the Xbox 360.
Microsoft's Major Nelson revealed the four new games.
Super Dungeon Bros. ($19.99) is a dungeon-crawler game which features cross-platform multiplayer and co-op gameplay. In addition, it utilizes an isometric perspective with a fixed camera, and a pleasing color palette.
Murdered: Soul Suspect ($19.99) is a third-person person action-adventure game with stealth elements which is set in a fictionalized town of Salem, a town in Boston. This game features a dead protagonist out to finish an unfinished business-that is, investigating a series of murders-including the murder of the protagonist himself-and bringing the culprit to justice.
The two Xbox One games will available for download from November 16 to December 15.
Those who are still playing on their Xbox 360's need not to worry as two games will also be free to Gold Members still playing on the last generation's console. Of course, through the backward compatibility, these games will also be available on the current gen.
Starting on November 1st, Gold members will be able to download The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition ($9.99), the remake of the critically acclaimed point-and-click adventure game set in a rather quirky version of the Golden Age of Piracy in the Caribbean laced with fantasy elements, for nostalgic players trying to relive the good old games of the past generation, and for the curious millennial player keen on understanding the history of their favorite hobby.
Another game that will be available for free download is Ubisoft's comedic stand-alone expansion to Far Cry 3-Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon ($14.99)-almost a betrayal, albeit in a comedic and parodied way, of what the Far Cry series has stood for, but enjoyable nevertheless, for those looking to calm their Far Cry fix and just have fun in a huge dystopian setting with cyberpunk elements with all the vehicles available in Far Cry 3 and weapons with hugely modified attributes.
The Games with Gold is a program that spotlights the digital download of games for free for those who availed subscription to Xbox Live Gold. It began during the final days of the Xbox 360 in 2013 and continues to the present.
