Chip and Joanna Gaines, stars of the hit HGTV show "Fixer Upper," will share their testimonies in an upcoming "I Am Second" video, the organization has revealed.
"We are thrilled to announce that we're launching a NEW White Chair Film in ONE week featuring Fixer Upper's Chip Gaines and Joanna Gaines!" the Dallas-based nonprofit shared on Facebook on Tuesday.
The Facebook live event, airing October 18th, will focus on how the couple's faith impacts their marriage: "Completely opposite. Completely different. Completely in love. Find out more about Chip and Jo's marriage in their new short film next week," the description continues.
Formed nearly a decade ago, I Am Second's team inspires people to live for God and for others. Prominent actors, athletes, musicians, business leaders and former drug addicts - including Jason Castro, Shawn Johnson, Bethany Hamilton, and Michael W. Smith - have shared their stories of recovery and hope with I Am Second.
"These are stories that give hope to the lonely and the hurting, help from destructive lifestyles, and inspiration to the unfulfilled," reads the website. "You'll discover people who've tried to go it alone and have failed. Find the hope, peace, and fulfillment they found. Be Second."
While this is their first time appearing in an "I Am Second" video, Chip and Joanna have previously opened up about their faith and how it drives all they do.
"Our family has made a commitment to put Christ first, a lifestyle our parents modeled for us very well. They showed us how to keep our marriage and family centered around God," Chip said during an interview with The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
Joanna echoed the sentiment last April during a video for Baylor University in which she discussed her testimony and how she seeks to use her platform to share her faith.
"I can look back now on the pattern of my life and really believe God has a purpose for me, but He also has purpose for you," the mother-of-four said. "Whether you're staying home and raising beautiful babies or you're the CEO of a multi-million dollar company, let God speak into your life," Joanna continued.
"Let his father heart come and say, 'This is what I have for you.' I think that's the key - not believing the lies, fixing our eyes on Jesus, and walking in the truth."
Also on October 18th, the couple will release their first book, titled "The Magnolia Story." Written with New York Times bestselling collaborator Mark Dagostino, the book details how their strong marriage, faith, and family carried them through the ups and downs of life.
A description of the forthcoming book on Joanna's personal blog reads, "The Magnolia Story is the first book from Chip and Joanna, offering their fans a detailed look at their life together. From the very first renovation project they ever tackled together, to the project that nearly cost them everything; from the childhood memories that shaped them, to the twists and turns that led them to the life they share on the farm today."
