When will Apple release the new MacBook Pro? Latest reports claim it will arrive this month of October. The high-end laptop is believed to come with secondary OLED touch display above the keyboard. Also, it is expected to have much powerful internal components than its predecessors.
Business Insider reports the new MacBook Pro will be shipped to customers in the second half of October. The Cupertino-based company is reportedly finishing the development of macOS operating system to install it in the new laptop. The macOs is formerly known as OS X. The new operating has improved user interface, new apps and many more.
The refreshed MacBook would not have the standard function keys at the top of the keyboard. As a replacement, the laptop will have a new touch-sensitive screen. The second screen will be much more functional than the physical keyboard it replaces because its keys change depending on the apps that are open. For example, if a user plays music on Spotify, the screen will have function keys for next song, volume up, shuffle and more.
Furthermore, the new screen is customizable. Users can change its button to open shortcuts for their favorite apps and features.
A report from Fortune says MacBook Pro 2016 will also have TouchID sensor, allowing users to unlock it with their fingerprint. The sensor would also help users to make payments through the Safari browser.
Of course, this year's MacBook Pro is expected to have powerful CPU. Rumor has it that the laptop will be powered by Intel's Kaby Lake chipset, which contains improved internal components for faster data processing and better battery life. Intel officials say their new processor boasts 14-nanometer structure and is design for VR mode, productivity and 4K gaming.
Just like the existing MacBook, the new laptop will have a USB-C port instead of a magnetic MagSafe connection for faster charging.
While Apple has not yet announced the official release date of MacBook Pro 2016, many tech websites claim the tech giant will release the new product on Oct. 22. The laptop is expected to become available in two variants: a 13-inch and more expensive 15-inch model. Both are reportedly thinner than current MacBook Pro models.
As for their price, we estimate the 13-inch model will cost around $1,200 and the 15-inch Retina will be priced around $2,100.
Take note that Apple has not yet confirmed or denied any rumors about MacBook Pro 2016, so let's take them with a proverbial pinch of salt.
