When will LG devices get Android N? According to latest reports the new firmware will arrive in latest LG devices very soon. Interestingly, The LG V20 is the first Non-Nexus handset that has pre-installed Android Nougat right out the box.
B&H Photo revealed Oct. 17 is the pre-order date for the LG V20. Gadget lovers who want to experience firsthand the awesome features of Android Nougat should mark that date to get the upcoming LG phone.
U.S. carrier T-Mobile also announced they will sell LG V20 "soon," hinting that the device's official release in the U.S. is just around the corner. Tech experts estimated the handset will be priced around $700 in North America.
The LG V20 was initially released in South Korean on Sept. 29.
Aside from Android Nougat, the phone boasts cool features for photography enthusiasts. It boasts dual-lens set-up with serious wide-angle flair. Its first camera has 16-MP lens with optical image stabilization. Plus, it is equipped with 8-MP lens that has f/2.8 aperture for wider field of view.
Going back to Android Nougat update on LG devices, the South Korean phone maker is known for quickly releasing new Android system. Last year, less than two months after the launch of Android Marshmallow, the company immediately released it to its customers. If the company did that in the outgoing Marshmallow, many belive it would also do the same for the Nougat.
We expect LG G5 is one of the first devices that will receive the Nougat. Some tech websites say owners of the said device might get a notification for update in the few months. Users of older LG phones like LG G4 can also expect to receive an update notification before the year ends.
For LG V10 and LG G Stylo users, their device has a big chance to get the Android Nougat. Both devices only released last year and they have decent specs that can handle the features of the new operating system.
On the other hand, LG G3 users many not see the Android Nougat. G3 was released on May 2014, and it may not be capable to run the latest applications in the new operating system.
Google's latest software has new features and apps that will definitely entice smartphone users. A report from Time says Android Nougat comes with more than 250 new features. One of its highlights is the Split-Screen Mode, which will allow users to open to two apps simultaneously in one screen.
