Samsung fans will finally own a smartphone that packs 6GB of Random Access Memory (RAM). The new Galaxy C9 will arrive with more RAM than the new Galaxy Note 7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. Not only that, the new addition in the Galaxy C lineup will be powered by much powerful processor. Now, here's the latest round-up of update about Samsung Galaxy C9 release date, specs and rumors on the web.
Samsung Galaxy C9 is definitely better than its predecessors by having 6 GB of RAM. Its single and multi-core figures are not too shabby either. In the Geekbench testing, Galaxy C9 reached 1,304 points in the single-core benchmark and 4,366 points in the multi-core benchmark.
Furthermore, the bigger RAM is paired with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 652 64-bit octa-core SoC that is clocked at 1.4GHz. The smartphone is also equipped with Adreno 510 GPU for better graphics performance.
In a report from SamMobile, it says the Galaxy C9 is under the codename SM-9000. The publication also says the phone has much better camera with 16-megapixel sensors, which is another first for Samsung. The Galaxy Note 7 and Galaxy S7 only packs 12-megapixel rear sensor.
The Galaxy C9 sports 6-inch display, making it bigger than its previous versions. The Galaxy C5 only offers 5.2-inch screen and the Galaxy C7 has 5.7-inch display.
As for the release date of the Galaxy C9, its appearance in the Geekbench testing hints that day will happen sooner rather than later. Several tech websites claim the smartphone might be released in the market in January 2017.
The existing Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 were first announced in May this year. A month after, they become available in China. It is still unknown whether the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 will be released in other countries. Some tech experts say the C-index in the moniker stands for "China."
As we mentioned earlier, the Galaxy C9 is the first smartphone from Samsung that has 6GB of RAM. The latest Galaxy Note 7 only packs 4GB of RAM and the top-spec Galaxy S7 Edge also has the same RAM. The hefty 6GB RAM of the Galaxy C9 will help it to perform better even under heavy usage, according to tech experts.
