PlayStation Plus subscribers are in for a nostalgia-heavy line-up this October. Join Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine again in their quest to fight terrifying monsters in Resident Evil HD. In addition, PS gamers can have action-packed battles in Transformers Devastation.
Now, here are the PlayStation Plus' free games in October 2016 for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita.
The PlayStation Blog recently revealed the new batch of free games. Resident Evil HD is the highlight of the October 2016 lineup. Released in early 2015, the remastered title offers improved visuals for the current generation consoles. Gaming analysts say this version does a good job of updating the look and feel of an old title for modern audiences. The Resident Evil remaster has eerie atmosphere and heart-pounding quests that capture the formula of a classic survival-horror game.
Aside from the improved Resident Evil game, PS4 users can access Platinum Games' Transformers: Devastation. This nostalgia-fueled game is a fun way to revisit the classic 90's TV show. With five Autobot characters, players have to fight the Decepticons and Insecticons to save the earth from Megatron's evil plans.
In terms of graphics, Transformers: Devastation has colorful animations that effectively capture the sights and sounds of a classic cartoon adventure.
For PS3 users, they can download Mad Riders which is an off-road racing arcade game. In it, players can perform aerial stunts and race their way to victory. The game features more than 40 tracks that are set in stunning tropical locations across the globe.
Additionally, PS3 users have access to From Dust. Set in a disordered world, players have to protect a tribe against Nature's devastating attacks, such as wildfires, earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanoes. The title also features innovative gameplay that allows players to sculpt the in-game world.
For PS Vita users, they can play Code: Realize ~Guardians of Rebirth~, which puts players in the shoes of a beautiful young woman who has poisonous touch. Set in a reimagined Victorian-era London, players have to unravel the secrets of the woman's past with the help of five European writers
Last but not the least, PS Vita gamers have access to Actual Sunlight, an interactive game that delves on depression and love. It challenges players to confront the life of Evan Winter, an overweight and lonely young professional.
Meanwhile, Polygon reported the price for PlayStation Plus subscription increased last week. From $49.99, the gaming service now costs $59.99 per year. Aside from monthly free games and discounts, the PS Plus service offers online multiplayer access for PS4 owners.
