The Forza Motorsport series comes to Australia. Gaming analysts claim the new racing game is breathtaking on PC and extremely good on Xbox One. However, Polyphony Digital's Gran Turismo Sport is poised to be a big rival for the Forza Horizon 3. Now, let's which is the best: Gran Turismo Sport or Forza Horizon 3?
As we mentioned earlier, Forza Horizon 3 features breathtaking landscapes of Australia. Compare to previous releases, players are now in charge on which races they would join. The new Forza game is an open-world title that has visually stunning graphics.
Ars Technica says the Forza Horizon 3 is a beast on PC. The game can hit a consistent 60 FPS in a staggering 4K resolution. At that rate, expect to see highest-res textures, highest-density foliage and super-detailed cars.
With improved graphics performance, players will definitely enjoy the iconic Australian landscapes such as Byron Bay, Coober Pedy, the Great Ocean Road and the Yarra Valley.
The new Forza is also one of the most connected games in the market, with a host of ways to interact with other players. Player's "Drivatars" will appear on races with an AI approximation of their driving skill. In addition, players can recruit other races to get more XP.
The featured cars in the third Forza Horizon offers a glimpse of different eras in Australian car manufacturing. First, there's the 1951 Holden 50-2106 FX Ute, which appears to be a classic pickup truck. Plus, players can use the 1974 Holden Sandman HQ Panel Van, which was featured in the original Mad Max movie in 1979. For the complete car list, visit this link.
Developer Playground Games releases the Forza Horizon 3 on Sept. 27, 2016 for $99.95.
Meanwhile, developer Polyphony Digital announced the launching of Gran Turismo Sport has been delayed into 2017. In a blog post, studio founder Kazunori Yamauchi wrote the development team needs more time to improve the graphics and gameplay of GT Sport.
Gran Turismo Sport is expected to feature the latest technologies in gaming, such as physics-based rendering and realistic sound. The game is also designed to give emphasis on competitive racing.
We previously reported the Gran Turismo 7 Sport will offer 140 cars, 19 different tracks and 1,000 racing locations. It may also run at 60 FPS with 1080p resolution.
The racing game will launch exclusively on PS4. It is also being developed for PlayStation VR.
For now, the full features of Gran Turismo Sport are not yet released. Let's wait for more announcements from Polyphony Digital and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment.
